![]() But you still get locking triggers for quick firing in FPS. However, Razer’s offering lacks rumble and doesn’t include the adaptive trigger technology seen in the Dual Sense. Razer’s app also lets you remap six extra buttons and create custom profiles-four of which you can swap between using a button on the controller’s face. That’s just the start, as the Wolverine V2 Pro offers an impressive 28-hour battery life and simple 2.4GHz wireless connection to the PS5. ![]() Razer uses a circular 8-Way Microswitch D-Pad for quick input commands, while Mecha-Tactile Action Buttons provide a clicky response and shorter actuation distance to edgeout on the competition. With it comes snappy and responsive off-set analog sticks similar to an Xbox controller, and there are interchangeable thumbstick caps to get the best feel in games. Though pricey, the Razer Wolverine V2 Pro leaps ahead of the competition to bring you a pro-level controller that just might be worth the splurge. Razer Wolverine V2 Pro Best High-End PS5 Controller for Mulitplayer This gamepad also offers slightly more textured grips than the DualSense to ensure the remote stays in hand during the more heated moments in your games. Unfortunately, you don’t get any software to make further customizations, like adjusting trigger sensitivity or remapping all the buttons. You also get a rear bumper with a button that lets you switch between three configuration profiles, optimizing the controller for those games along with sports. These paddles are perfect for everything from shifting in racing games to swapping weapons in FPS. The back is where things get shaken up further, as there are four manually programmable paddles that are easy to reach and removable. But with this option, you can swap out the convex analog sticks for concave, giving you a slightly different feel. ![]() Just be prepared to shell out a bit more cash for this controller.įrom the front, the Reflex Pro looks almost identical to our top pick, with virtually the same buttons, D-pad, touchpad, and triggers. However, there are a few additional features and customizations to further improve gameplay. This gamepad offers everything you love about Sony’s DualSense, like adaptive triggers that adjust based on the game you’re playing and a super accurate rumble. That’s where the Scuf Reflex Pro comes in. The DualSense controller is great and all, but maybe you want to step out of the Sony bubble and try something new. Scuf Reflex Pro Best Third-Party PS5 Controller The only major fault of Sony’s device is the less-than-stellar battery life, which gives you about 10 to 13 hours of juice between charges. All of this can serve to pull you further into the game. You might find it easier to pull the trigger when your character is holding a pistol and a lot harder to pull the trigger when you’re wielding a long bow. The haptic feedback is part of that, though there are also adaptive triggers that can adjust resistance on the fly. But, when games take advantage of the pad’s capabilities, it’ll go beyond being a simple input device. The chassis is large, with a textured grip and responsive buttons. The PS5 DualSense Controller will feel similar in the hand to the DualShock 4, making a comfortable adjustment for many gamers. And you don't get just another simple wireless controller with a couple of rumble motors to let you feel when action is happening in the game but an actual haptic device that does a much more compelling job simulating the action. Aim is more in line with Battle Beaver controllers and Evil Controllers, although Evil Controllers are way overpriced. The DualSense controller is a highly-capable gamepad made for PS5 that happens to be relatively affordable at $70. Avoid scuf, they offer no competition here. The inner scuf paddles are uncomfortable to use and they are stiff and difficult to press. Bad QA and the worst paddle placement of any controller. How do they stack up? Aim is one of the better options out there, imo. If you are going to spend all that money on a controller, you might as well get programmable paddles so you are covered for any game you want to use them with. I highly advise against the plain spider action v1 paddles. ![]() The pro grip looks even better but I haven’t gotten my hands on it myself. I have an older version of the grippy back and I like it. They use stock Sony controllers, so whatever the rate of stick drift issues are with those controllers will be the same for these. They have held up extremely well and I haven’t had stick drift issues thus far with any of them. I have 3 in total - one PS4 controller and two PS5 controllers.
